Ventilation on ships and air conditioning systems

The marine vehicles ventilation is designed to provide an optimal microclimate in different rooms. This is achieved by ensuring the circulation of air flows by natural or artificial.

There are three types of ventilation: blow in, and exhaust combined.

In the first case, the flows are served fresh air, displacing contaminated and stagnant flow through leaks.

Exhaust ventilation involves literal “pull” the air, fresh streams in this case comes naturally through open windows, doors, skylights, etc.

When combined as a one-time action is achieved and blow in ventilation that provides enhanced breathability.

Mechanical ventilation on ships involves the use of climatic equipment in different directions, often – packaged air conditioners.

Choice of air conditioning and ventilation method depends primarily on the size of the premises and parameters of microclimate. Conditioning system in turn also provide heating and cooling airflow direction. The principle of operation is simple to the banal: air enters through the outer filter and sent to heater. After securing the desired temperature air passes processes eliminate moisture and moisture, cleaning, and enters the room environment by ducts
